New to Startup Weekend?  No problem!

What is really cool about Startup Weekend?  It is a very interesting, welcoming and challenging introduction to entrepreneurship.  If you are looking to become more skilled, or looking to learn something brand new, the weekend is a great place to be.

Startup Weekend is first and foremost about building community.  Although you're going to get a crash course in building a company in 54 hours, we want to make sure that you're interacting with people at the events and developing a community that can continue forward after the weekend.  For the weekend, you can pick any idea large or small.  Naturally if you're building an app for health records, one weekend might not be enough.  Nevertheless, shoot for covering as much of the process as you can and try to lay down a framwork for the future.

If you're working on something doable in a weekend, watch the steps taken and learn from others that are they who may have previous startup experience.  There is no step-by step plan, that's the point.  Just use the weekend to learn and meet others who are all interested in the same thing!
